    Kathy | Operations Manager

    Kathy’s 29 years of experience in the student transportation industry make her an invaluable asset to Northline. Throughout her career, Kathy has thrived in various roles, including Driver, Monitor, Trainer, Third Party Examiner, Safety Coordinator, Assistant Manager, and Interim Manager. After serving one school district for many years, we were honored to have her join Northline in the summer of 2021. Now, she efficiently manages dispatch, payroll, route changes, and route assignments.

    Known for her ability to maintain order both professionally and in her family life, Kathy ensures that everything runs smoothly at work while also being a strong, supportive figure for her loved ones. Her dedication to ensuring seamless communication and route accuracy is unmatched. She has an incredible ability to figure out how to make things work with excellence and efficiency, benefiting both our customers and team members. Whenever time permits, she steps out of the office to observe drivers in action, demonstrating her commitment to quality on the front lines.

    Outside of work, Kathy enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and catching a Vikings game in the fall.

    Karl | Safety & Staffing Manager

    Karl serves as Northline’s Safety & Staffing Manager, bringing with him a strong background in managing CDL drivers and route operations. Prior to joining Northline, Karl worked for large national companies in the trash and recycling industry, where he served as both a Safety Officer and Route Manager. His experience gives him a deep understanding of logistics, safety protocols, and the importance of supporting frontline staff.

    Based in the South Metro, Karl is married with two children and enjoys camping, fishing, and spending time at a lake up north with his family. His calm, practical leadership style and dedication to safety help keep Northline’s operations running smoothly every day.

  • Nicholas | CEO/Owner

    Nicholas took the helm of Northline in the summer of 2021, bringing a fresh perspective from 15 years of sales experience with a focus on award-winning customer service. As the visionary behind the company’s excellent and exceptional growth, he credits Northline’s success to his incredible team and has coached the leadership to prioritize drivers as their "customers," believing that when drivers and aides are well-supported, they will provide exceptional care for students. Nicholas is committed to Northline’s core values of safety, teamwork, respect, and excellence, ensuring they’re at the heart of every decision and operation. He also oversees finance, fleet maintenance, and leads the leadership team to ensure smooth and efficient operations across the company.

    Outside of work, Nicholas loves spending time with his wife and children, whether it's gardening, watching a movie, going camping or checking out the next national park.

    Mark | Fleet Mechanic

    Mark brings 30 years of car repair experience to his role as Northline's fleet mechanic. He started tinkering with mopeds before he was old enough to test for his driver’s license.  His car repair career officially began by working at a tire shop before spending 12 and a half years at Saturn, followed by a full car repair role at Smith Nelson. Growing up in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, Mark has always had a passion for fixing things.

    What Mark enjoys most about his current role is being able to help people and working with a team that values quality. Outside of work, you'll find him camping with his family or going to concerts with his wife and improving things around the house. Mark is proud to be part of Northline’s culture of “doing it right.”

    Michael | Dispatcher

    Michael is now in his 5th school year with Northline, beginning his journey as a dependable driver. In his second year, he advanced to the role of Standby Driver, where he continued to demonstrate his commitment for two years. His hard work and dedication led to his promotion to Dispatcher in the fall of 2024, where he now plays a key role in our operations. His dedication to problem-solving and ensuring smooth operations makes him an invaluable member of the team.  What truly motivates Michael is knowing that his efforts make a positive difference for hundreds of kids every day. His passion for helping others and his commitment to our mission shine through each day.

    Outside of work, Michael enjoys traveling with his family, diving into the world of video games, and exploring table-top RPGs. He’s also the go-to dog sitter for his extended family and friends. With a love for making connections and a commitment to ensuring smooth operations, Michael's contributions help keep Northline driving forward.

    Jess | Safety & Training Lead

    Jess joined Northline in the fall of 2023 and quickly became a key part of our training team. In her current role, she serves as a backup monitor, trains and onboards new team members, and ensures they’re well-prepared for the road. After their initial training, Jess often rides along with drivers, offering guidance and course corrections as they get out in the field and behind the wheel. Originally from Jacksonville, North Carolina, but raised in Conway, Arkansas, Jess brings a witty sense of humor to the job and a sharp eye for detail, especially when it comes to making employee files accurate and up-to-date.

    In her spare time, Jess loves reading and spending time with her family. With two years in the student transportation industry, she already values the family atmosphere and open-door policy that make Northlines culture feel like home.

    Jacqueline | Communications Lead

    Jacquline has supported Northline behind the scenes since the summer of 2021 when her husband, Nicholas, took the helm of the company. She now coordinates events like our Annual Kick Off Meeting, Christmas Party and Year End Party.

    She also is the writer, creative visionary, editor and graphics artist for our internal newsletter: The Northliner.  The Northliner features employees of the month, safety reminders, an encouraging note to our team and upcoming events.

    Outside of work she is busy as a homeschool parent, avid Gardener, homemaker and she is active in her community.

    Robinett | Trainer

    Robinett is a Trainer and Standby Driver at Northline, where she brings both professional and personal driving experience to her role. As a driver and a mom, she has a natural ability to explain the safest and most effective ways to drive, helping new employees feel confident and supported as they get onboarded. Robinett has also completed B.E.S.T. car seat securement training through Train the Trainer and is exceptional at teaching proper car seat safety to ensure the well-being of the students we serve.

    Robinett brings a positive, energetic spirit to everything she does. She's known for her warm personality, strong work ethic, and her ability to lift others up. One fun fact about Robinett: say almost any word around her, and there's a good chance she'll break out into a song—it’s just how her brain works!

    What she loves most about being at Northline is the genuine family feel. She says it’s not just talk—everyone truly cares, and it means a lot to be shown that she matters. That sense of belonging and support is what makes Northline feel like home to her.

    Seth | Trainer

    Seth joined Northline in 2022 as a Monitor and quickly worked his way into the driver’s seat later that same year. After excelling as a Driver, he stepped up into a Standby Driver role for the 2024–2025 school year. By the summer of 2025, with all that hands-on experience under his belt, Seth was promoted to Trainer. He’s been through just about every situation on the road and brings that wealth of knowledge to his training. Seth also completed the B.E.S.T. car seat securement program at Train the Trainer, and now leads both new-hire onboarding and car seat instruction and refresher training for our returning drivers and monitors.

    Outside of work, Seth is passionate about music and singing—he’s even performed at the Mall of America and made an appearance on TV!

    What he enjoys most about Northline is the kindness woven into its culture. He says everyone is understanding, welcoming, and always ready to lend a helping hand—and that makes a big difference.
